I first visited Master Lilian early 2006. I just had an operation summer of 2005 and was about to leave my MNC job accepting the severance package. I had done 16 years in MNC and I was very sad and lost. Master Lilian told me that I need to leave the country or go across the sea for minimum 30 days for a better future. But then I found and confirmed a new job within 2 months and I didn’t went anywhere across any sea for that long. Bottom line was I HEARD what she said, I was enlightened with the way she analyzed my strength and weakness, BUT I didn’t do much to change.
Almost 3 years down the road, I had to accept another severance package again. And again, I was very lucky to land another job very quickly as a customer Service Manager in a book business. Within a short time I could feel this job is just not me. By end of 6th month, I had cried more times then I did in my MNC career. I thought about it seriously, is this my career path ? I am a hardworking, capable and a consistent performer, how could I be the one getting severance packages again and again? I knew something was very wrong and I went to see Master Lilian again. And she just said “Jealousy”. And she went on to tell me my destination in life, my career path, and most important where do I BELONG. For the next 3 days I didn’t speak, I was in deep thought. I could not believe my destination. Then I slowly piece back the advises I had had with different consultants years back and what my mum had nicknamed me and everything fit into position like a jigsaw puzzle.
I knew it’s time to move on. When my manager challenged me again, I told him calmly I wish to leave immediately and thanked him. I thanked my subordinates and bought them lunch.
2 months later I started a restaurant with a partner, we found a shop lot, found a nice contractor and did up the place. The contractor found a kitchen equipment supplier who provided us the whole works with thoughts to our budget. We found a very friendly distributor for bowls and plates. We also found nice and reasonable priced furniture along the way and it went on. We are not making money yet, but I can see the future is brighter now. I have more time although I had to work inside the kitchen, and I feel healthier. I don’t have the luxury of materialism anymore but I feel more calm and peaceful.
Thanks to Master Lilian’s guidance and the Career Allies Necklace, I feel people and things are coming to me a lot more smoother. She gave me the guts to take the risk, and step out onto unfamiliar ground to do what my inner self had wanted to do. I hope to have more success in the near future.
